Need to up or down size a barrel /gun in your U.S. Duty Gear holster? This makes it easy.
1. Simply ID your factory plug, one of the two sizes (Tall or Short).
2. Knowing what you are trying to do (add a threaded barrel, go down from Glock 17 to 19 etc), buy the plug that states what you need! Works with the factory end cap, or our Open End Cap for a bit easier installation. Keep the factory Bolt to reinstall!
Example: I have a Tall plug in my USDG Glock 17 holster, I want to run a Glock 19 in it. I select Tall Plus (+) .50", as the 19 has a half in shorter barrel then the 17. See image-
Example 2: I have the Tall plug in my USDG Glock 17 holster, and I want to add a threaded barrel. This adds half an inch to my gun, so obviously I need a shorter plug. I select Tall Minus (-) .50".
Example 3: I have the Short Plug and I need to add a threaded barrel. In this case, you will Select Tall Minus 1 /Short Minus .45" It will run a hair 'snugger' against the retention so ENSURE you test your setup. If it's too tight you'll not be able to run a plug or need to buy a longer holster.
Common sizes needed are here, and we left enough material at the top if you need to trim by 1/16" or so that is doable.
